Our team

Sofia Maria Kohmann
born in 1959 in Germany, studied in Munich and Berlin, lived in the US, working as a veterinary doctor and trained for surgery. Assistant veterinary doctor in general clinics and horse clinics in Northern and Southern Germany. In 1990 she opened her own veterinary clinic for small animals, in 1991 she founded a veterinary clinic in the Black Forest. Since 1992 ongoing formation in neurology (Switzerland), ophtalmology (Switzerland), dermatology (ESVD) and orthopedic surgery (Germany, Switzerland). Since 1998 partner of the Euro-Tierklinik, Mallorca, specialising in the above medical areas.

2011/12 trained as a Reconnective Healing® Practitioner  (energetic medicine) by Dr. Eric Pearl and since then working also in this field.


 

Marianne Van Der Wal
born on June 3, 1955 in Den Helder, The Netherlands. Studied veterinary medicine in Utrecht from 1976 – 1984, specializing in small animals. Assistant veterinary doctor at the Statwantier Clinik in Utrecht as well as in clinics for small animals in Aerdenhout and Heemstede specializing in internal veterinary medicine and soft tissue surgery. Since 1996 she has been directing this section at the Euro-Tierklinik. She assists our clients and their little friends in Dutch, English, German and Spanish.


 

Stefan Oetjen
born on March 12, 1961 in Bremen. Studied veterinary medicine from 1980 to 1986 at the Tierärztliche Hochschule Hanover, Germany. Until 1994 assistant veterinary doctor at the Universitätsklinik Hanover (university hospital Hanover) as well as in private hospitals. From 1994 to 2001 assistant veterinary doctor at the veterinary hospital for small animals Dr. Kilian in Hamburg, Germany. In 1998 admission as a specialized veterinary doctor for small domestic animals.

One of his numerous activities was taking care of the dog-racing grounds in Hildesheim and Hamburg being the veterinary doctor in charge. He introduced and has been carrying out various first-aid courses for owners of cats and dogs as well as conferences regarding the training of veterinary assistants.
Apart from that Dr. Stefan Oetjen has written various veterinary guides. Since 2002 he has been directing the veterinary clinic in San Carlos, Ibiza.


 

Annette Dragun
born in 1963 in Schleswig-Holstein. Despite of her interesting job being a journalist, she kept dreaming of treating animals by alternative therapies.
In 1995 she started her training to be naturopath for animals. After taking the exam in 1998, she founded her own practice in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, where she was treating both small animals and horses. In February 2001 the Euro-Tierklinik asked her to join them on Mallorca. Specializing in homeopathy and acupuncture, she also applies Bach Flower Therapy and Laser therapy.


 

Mar Felix Fando
Studied veterinary medicine at the University of Zaragoza, graduated in 1990.  From 1990 to 1991 she was employed as practicing veterinarian at the offices of Pablo Garcia in Ibiza and from 1991 to 1992 joined the offices of Marta Autonell in Pollensa, Mallorca.  From 1992 until 1996 she worked as an inspector for the State Health Program and in 1992 founded her own Veterinarian Center “Jesus” in Ibiza.

She has continued advanced training in veterinary medicine and human medicine especially in cardiology at ESAVS (II and III) at different veterinary centers, as well as at the Son Dureta Hospital in Palma participating in laboratories for echo cardiology.  Together with Oriol Domenech she has co-authored papers in such themes as blood pressure, blood analysis, biomarkers and other diagnostic examinations in cardiology.  She has given courses in thorax auscultation and radiology, as well as in echo cardiology at various training levels.  From 2005 to 2006 administrator of the internal medicine and cardiology department of the veterinarian center Aragon in Palma, Mallorca.

Member of the Executive Board of AVEPA (Asociation of Spanish veterinarians specialized in small animals) and member of the ESVC (Europiean Society of Veterinary Cardiology).

Works independently as a mobile veterinary doctor for cardiology and  since 2009 is also consultant in ultrasonic diagnostics for the Balearics.

 

Renata Diniz
She was born in Brazil and graduated in veterinary medicine in 1996, worked as a professor from 1998 until 2007. She did courses of veterinary physiotherapy in Brazil, Argentina, USA, Spain and Germany. Since two years ago she works in Mallorca incorporating the physical therapy and motor animal rehabilitation in orthopedic and / or neurological injuries. She works with physical agents (magnet therapy, laser, electrical currents, etc), manual therapy and active and passive exercises. Since 2008 she attends the Eurotierklinik and guarantees the highest level of technology in animal physiotherapy.
